The golden rule

I don't particularly like reading things like this on other blogs/websites and I really don't like talking about it anymore.. I've lost all excitement in arguing political controversial topics, mostly because in the long run it probably doesn't much matter anyway, and the people who speak up usually don't understand what they're talking about.  Which is great, because honestly none of us have any idea what we're talking about, therefore we are all probably idiots.  Soo this will be the only time I go and blog about political stuff  ;)
But for the life of me I can't understand why people give this guy such a hard time.. for some reason it's a touchy subject-

This is just a pretty generic article about a republican SCarolina debate.  But I think it makes a good point.
So tell me, why would "christian conservatives" boo a suggestion to make the golden rule the foreign policy?
I think that's kinda funny.  Sounds like the smartest idea I've heard lately.

That crappy moment when you realize...

So I've been trying to forget about the fact that one of my favorite bands will be playing in a concert- just barely within my reach- because I didn't think I'd be able to go anyway.. I finally did forget about it, until last night it hit me like a freaking Mack truck that the concert I was dying to go to (no pun intended) was the very next day (TODAY), and I had failed to make arrangements to get there................ I nearly had a panic attack, or perhaps a nervous breakdown, maybe both- and frantically started texting someone who I knew would be going... 11 o' clock at night, the day before, is really not the best time to try and figure out how in the world I could possibly transport my sorry butt down the road several hours to a concert (that I've been looking forward to for three months).  Sooo yeah, that's why I'm at home right now updating my blog  :/  hum.

It's like, stuffing a giraffe in a shoebox

Watching Flash try to get in the back of the cab of a Ford Ranger pick up truck is quite a spectacle.

^ Flash

^ truck

Almost like watching him climb up on the counter tops to get something he could probably reach without even stretching....
While wearing pants that are too big.
The other day he actually got a pair that fit- he put them on and he's like, "Abbey what do you think?  I'm not used to wearing pants that are so.. fitted...."
Someone:  "Actually I think you're just not used to wearing pants that fit"

you know you didn't make any New Years resolutions when.....

Last night I walked through the kitchen and asked my mom if I she would be needing her room for awhile (Pipsqueak was sleeping in my room).  Without looking up she says, "No- Jambo's going to bed soon..  Why?  Are you going to work out?"  (I used to work out everyday, and sometimes I had to use my parents room if mine was already taken..)
And I'm like, "HAHAHA-  um, actually I was going to sit on my butt and watch the 5 hour version of Pride And Prejudice on the portable DVD player...."

( come on, everyone gets the random urge to watch a chick flick every now and then  ;)

And on top of that:  I don't like to run by myself, and no one will go with me now that it's cold!!  So I've only been able to run about once a week.. help.

Good luck with all those resolutions  ;)  haha
